4.1 Service Providers and Processors
We may share your personal information with service providers, vendors, contractors, and other third parties that perform functions on our behalf, including payment processors, shipping carriers, analytics providers, IT hosting, customer support, CRM, marketing automation, and email platforms.
4.2 Business & Marketing Partners
We may share or disclose your information with business and marketing partners for purposes such as co-marketing or joint campaigns, subject to applicable law and your preferences/opt-outs.
4.3 Affiliates & Corporate Transfers
We may share personally identifiable information among affiliates or subsidiaries within our corporate group. In connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets, we may share or transfer personal information to the acquiring or successor entity, subject to confidentiality.
4.4 Legal & Safety Disclosures
We may disclose your personal information when required by law (e.g. subpoena, court order, government request), or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights or safety of others.
4.5 Advertising, Analytics, and Meta (Facebook / Instagram) Data Sharing
a. Meta Pixel & Conversions API / Server-to-Server Integration
We use Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to better understand how people use our Services and to measure and optimize our advertising campaigns.
The Meta Pixel is a browser-based tracking script that logs events such as page views, product views, add-to-cart, checkout, and purchases.
The Conversions API (or server-to-server integration) allows us to share select event data directly from our servers to Meta, reducing reliance solely on browser tracking and improving attribution accuracy.
These integrations may share pseudonymized or hashed customer identifiers (such as email address, phone number, or other signals) that Meta can use to match against Meta user profiles for advertising optimization and measurement.
b. Level of Data Sharing (Standard / Enhanced / Maximum)
Shopify’s Facebook & Instagram integration allows merchants to choose the level of data sharing (Standard, Enhanced, or Maximum) when integrating with Meta. Shopify Help Center
- Under Standard mode, only pixel-based browser data is shared (which can be blocked by ad blockers or subject to tracking restrictions).
- Under Enhanced mode, server-side events (via Conversions API) are used to share additional data (e.g. hashed customer emails, phone numbers, location, etc.).
- Under Maximum mode, full compatibility with Meta’s latest ad features is enabled.
Fine Paws Co is configured under Maximum.
c. Purposes & Benefits
The data shared via Meta tools are used for:
- Tracking conversions, attributing sales or events to ad campaigns
- Optimizing and improving ad targeting (e.g. lookalike audiences, retargeting)
- Reporting, analytics, and measuring ad performance
- Preventing fraud or detecting invalid activity
d. Customer Control & Opt-Out
We respect your privacy preferences. Where permitted by law, you may opt out of this data sharing or targeted advertising. In some jurisdictions, you have the right to direct us not to share your personal information for targeted advertising purposes (or opt out entirely). We will honor opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). (See Section 9 for how to exercise your choices.)
You can opt out of targeted advertising by:

Additionally, you can opt out of some of these services by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out portal at: https://optout.aboutads.info.
e. Data Minimization & Hashing
Where possible, data shared to Meta is hashed, pseudonymized, or in aggregated form. Meta provides privacy protections (e.g. not revealing raw identifiers to advertisers) and requires all advertisers to follow Meta’s Data Use Terms. Facebook+1
f. Meta’s Use of the Data
Once shared, Meta (and its subsidiaries) may process and use the data under its own privacy practices (e.g., for ad targeting, measurement, aggregation). Our use of Meta’s services is governed by their terms, including their Supplemental Privacy Policy.
